To: ham-space@ucsd.edu Given how popular the FT-726R was for satellite operation, certainly someone out there must have worked out the easiest way to connect one to a 9600 FSK modem. I've found the output of the demodulator for receive that is easy to access, but haven't found a similarly easy spot for injecting the xmit side into the modulator. If anyone knows of the easiest (least impact on the FT-726R) way to connect up a high speed modem, I'd sure like to hear about it. 73 es tnx, Todd N9MWB ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 May 1994 18:19:24 GMT From: ihnp4.ucsd.edu!swrinde!emory!news-feed-2.peachnet.edu!concert!hearst.acc.Virginia.EDU!cscsun!dtiller@network.ucsd.edu Subject: FCC REGS? I have the "book" here but who knows chapter : and verse?--the FCC lines are always busy. Title 47 CFR, Part 15. This deals with low power transmitters. I'd suggest getting a ramsey fm10a (I think). I've got one - it puts out a couple of mW, and can be heard over 'dorm distances'. They provide a very thoughtful guide as to what's legal and what's not, but it doesn't replace the CFR. * CFR=Code of Federal Regulations, found at a large library near you! -- David Tiller | Network Administrator | Voice: (804) 752-3710 | dtiller@rmc.edu | n2kau/4 | Randolph-Macon College| Fax: (804) 752-7231 | Brady Law critique removed | P.O.
